Weather Plays Havoc

GRIMSBY will not play a league game for nearly four weeks after their second successive league postponement. Town's game at Plymouth was called off due to safety concerns, as strong winds had lead to storm damage. With next weekend set aside for the FA Cup, Town are slipping down the table with "games in hand".
It was tough on visiting supporters, who faced a fruitless long journey, and the even more daunting prospect of travelling for the rearranged match which will almost certainly be midweek.
Grimsby's last league home game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch on 26th October.
Town did have a match against Leicester in the EFL Trophy the following Tuesday, in which Michael Jolley played a strong side. However, the club will be hoping that their players are not rusty when they face Newport in the FA Cup next week, followed by the same opposition a week later in the League Two clash at Blundell Park.
