Michael Jolley Sacked

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 15/11/2019

MICHAEL Jolley has surprisingly been sacked as Grimsby Town manager after 18 months in charge. The side had not won for seven games but had started the season well, although they had tailed off in recent months.

He had not been under particular pressure and was not thought to be close to being sacked so he dismissal is very unexpected. Assistant manager, former Woking boss Anthony Limbrick, and physio Dave Moore will have been installed as interim manager and assistant manager respectively.

They will face their first test when Town head to Newport on Wednesday.

Grim Rob Says. This is completely mad. Any stability has been lost and we'll have another 18 months of "rebuilding" and then back to square one.
