League Season Starts at Walsall

GRIMSBY'S league season will begin on 12th September away at Walsall, who finished on the same number of points as Town last season. The Mariners won the equivalent fixture 3-1 in August 2019 with goals from Hanson(2) and Whitehouse. It's unlikely fans will be able to attend this or other early games.
Town's first match at Blundell Park is a week later at home to Salford, and there is a match every Saturday until late October, after which there are largely two games a week. The season is scheduled for a regulation finish on 8th May when Grimsby face Cambridge.
With just three league games, one EFL Cup game and one EFL Trophy game September is a fairly quiet month. Hopefully, supporters will be allowed back in the autumn, albeit with massive reductions in capacity.
Fans will be able to watch the early games online, and probably most of the season streamed should they choose to.
This site is by the fans, for the fans, and we will consider articles on any subject relating to the Mariners whether it be related to current news, a nostalgic look back in the past, a story about a player, a game or games in the past, something about Blundell Park or football in general.
