STRIKER Lenell John-Lewis has returned to Blundell Park six years after playing his last game for the club. The 31-year-old has signed a 1.5-year deal from Hereford, for whom he has made 11 appearances in the National League North.
John-Lewis, nicknamed "The Shop" was a favourite with Paul Hurst before leaving Town for League Two Newport at the end of the 2014-2015 season. The Shop scored 16 goals for Town that season. John-Lewis then rejoined former boss Paul Hurst when the latter was manager at Shrewsbury before dropping back into non-league at nearby Hereford after Hurst's departure.
On a busy day, Paul Hurst has also signed 19-year-old Welsh midfielder Joe Adams on loan from Brentford, 27-year-old left back Joe Bunney who recently left Hartlepool and 24-year-old keeper Jake Eastwood from Sheffield United.
