Boulding In Blades Talks

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 27/06/2002

SHEFFIELD United have not ruled out an interest in Grimsby's Michael Boulding despite talking to other players. The Blades are talking to a number of players and Boulding is included amongst them.

Iffy Onuora, Wayne Allison, Stuart McCall, Michael Boulding and a Wolves player are some of the players approached. Talks have already taken place with Wolves, Onuora, Boulding and Allison through their agents.

United are looking to add 3 more players to the squad before the season begins and they are committed to bringing in "quality players" according to their press spokesman. No decision has yet been made. We are still talking.

Boulding has been reported to be on trial with Middlesbrough but looking is not buying and he should not be ruled out of signing for the Mariners despite it not looking good at the moment. On the other hand, Paul Groves is trying to finalise his plans and his patience may not last too long.
