Gallimore Tamed?

TONY Gallimore has vowed to change his ways following his red card against Nottingham Forest, reports the Sports Telegraph. Gally described it as "unprofessional" and "silly" and has regretted the incident.
The left back received eleven cautions and one red card last season and was warned before the start of the campaign that the team could ill afford to lose players through suspensions with the squad down to a bare minimum.
Gallimore said: "That would have been my first caution, or sending off, for a tackle this season. It was an unprofessional, silly thing to do. A lot of frustration had built up through the game. But I've got a lot of regrets about it now.
"The manager had a word with me at the beginning of the season and said that they couldn't afford to lose players with disciplinary problems with the squad being so small.
"It was disappointing for everyone and I've apologised to people after the game. But that counts for nothing, you've done what you've done and there's no going back."
Gallimore, who was signed back in 1996 by Brian Laws, had to sit out of yesterday's clash with Reading and will also miss the games against Ipswich and Watford and knows regaining his place in the first team will be far from easy.
"Obviously I want my place back but it's more important in these next seven days that the team starts to win. We have to build on the win at Brighton because we can't afford another losing streak.
"There are quite a few home games coming up and we have to pick up the points. The welfare of the club is the important thing right now, regardless of whose going to play in my position while I'm out.
"I have just got to believe in my own ability and that I'm the right one for the job. It's a long season, and the main thing is that we pick up points."
