Kabba Shock Departure!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 07/11/2002

IN a shock move today Crystal Palace recalled Steve Kabba who will now return to his club and take no further part in Grimsby Town's games which means he will not be available for Saturday's game at Stoke.

He was due to play two more games - against Stoke City and Preston NE, before his loan period came to an end but Palace recalled him today as he was training at Blundell park with the first team squad.

Mariners Net who broke the story said it was probably only a matter of time before the Selhurst Park outfit decided that he was too good to leave out of their own team.

Unless he has been recalled because an offer has been made for him from another club. That however is pure speculation and it may be a case of Palace seeing him as an answer to their own plans.

He has certainly impressed at Grimsby and that would not have gone unnoticed by Palace.
