The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Raven Speaks Out!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 11/02/2003

PAUL Raven has hit back at the poor treatment he claimed he got at Grimsby. He said he was aware as early as last Summer that he was not wanted. It is sad to see a player leave BP with bitterness but that is the way football is today.

It is common knowledge that Raven was sitting out his time at Grimsby as he was not afraid to speak out about his situation and had previously complained of the "clique" at BP.

But whatever the reason, he has now left the club and is training with Rotherham. Who knows, he might be joined by another Town player soon. Stranger things have happened.

Good luck to him. The Fishy, in the meantime, will have to find another player to be kit sponsor for next season.

Any suggestions? Post them on the MB.
