Return To BP Is Speculation - Donovan

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 27/11/2003

KEVIN Donovan said today that speculation on his return to Blundell Park was just that as he has other clubs interested in him. "I am only training at BP to ensure I keep fit" was his message today.

Speaking to the Grimsby Telegraph he said; "At the moment I've still got one more thing to tie up at Barnsley and then I'm a free agent. When that's done I'll be looking for a club. I spoke to Grovesy and asked him if I could come back and train."

"We haven't even spoken about me staying. He's got a big squad and plenty of people down the right so it's not even in my mind. I'm just training with the lads to get fit. It's just for fitness."

"When I'm sorted out I'll be open to anything but any talk other than that is irrelevant. I still have things to sort out before I can commit to anywhere."

"There are a couple of other clubs that have contacted me and I'll be going there in the next fortnight as well. I'm in full training and I enjoyed training with the lads yesterday. It didn't feel too bad to be back and I still know quite a few of the players so it was easier than going somewhere completely different."
