League Two Round up!

IN a vital week of football, Carlisle kept up their quest for the League Two title with an impressive result as nearest challengers Grimsby were hammered 5-0 away to Lincoln which must have put a smile on the faces of everyone in Brunton Park and that is where we begin our round-up.
It was seemingly a home banker as out of form Boston made the long trip to 'the Chelsea of League Two' Carlisle and that prediction was spot on as the Cumbrians came out 4-2 winners thanks to goals from Hackney(2),Lumsdon and Hawley to keep Carlisle top.
In many people's game of the day, Leyton Orient came out on top as Wycombe visited Brisbane Road (matchroom stadium now). It was a tight affair but an early Paul Connor goal handed the points to Orient and dented Wycombe's promotion challenge even further.
Another one of the promotion chasers, Northampton ran out comfortable 2-0 winners as Notts County made the trip to Sixfields. Jason Lee and Josh Low presented the Cobblers a much needed win to tighten things further at the top of League Two.
While at the bottom, Rushden's decent run of form was ended by play-off hopefuls Cheltenham at Whaddon Road. Finnigan, Melligan and Wilson goals deepened the relagation worries for the Diamonds and ultimately put real pressure on them going into the final part of the season.
Fellow strugglers Bury and Macclesfield both picked up wins against Rochdale and Shrewsbury respectively to take ease their relegation fears.
Jim Smith's first game back at Oxford was a happy one as they ran out 1-0 winners at home to Peterboro' thanks to a Tcham N'Toya goal.
Play-off hopefuls Bristol Rovers ran out 2-0 winners at home to Mansfield thanks to gols from Richard Walker and Sammy Igoe.
We conclude our round up with Barnet's home win against Darlington. A Tresor Kandol goal against his former club was enough to send the points down south.
