Slade To Sign Midfielder
By: Bill Osborne
Date: 28/06/2004
RUSSELL Slade thinks he has finally got one of his target men with the imminent signing of Ashley Sestanovich on a long-term loan deal.
Formerly with Scarborough on loan, Slade indicated his interest in bringing him to Grimsby some time ago but the deal failed until now.
Neil Warnock signed Ashley on a two-year deal in March 2003 from non-league London club Hampton and Richmond Borough
He has had spells at Manchester City, Millwall, in Ireland and in Belgium before United signed him from Hampton and Richmond Borough. He has however spent his time at the Blades on loan to Scarborough, which is where Russell Slade coached him.
Name: Ashley Sestanovich
Nationality: English
Date of Birth: 18/09/1981
Height: 6' 3" (191cm)
Weight: 13st 0lbs (82.63kg)
Previous Clubs: Scarborough

Russell Slade is also hoping to sign a new striker in the next 24 hours. Out of contract Scarborough striker Mark Quayle and Aldershot's Tim Sills are believed to be in the frame.
