The Squad So Far
By: Fishy Tom
Date: 14/05/2008
GRIMSBY need to find a number of players to get their squad up to strength over the summer. With Atkinson and Whittle leaving the club, Fenton and Toner transfer listed, and Clarke, Montgomery and Gary Jones all out of contract, Town need at least five new signings.
At present Town have barely enough players to form a team, and only then youth players such as Normington and Overton would need to be involved. Central defence is an area which is likely to be totally different next season with Fenton, Whittle and Atkinson all left or likely to leave.
The squad at present looks as follows:
1. Barnes - 1 year left
2. Clarke - Out Of Contract
3. Newey - 1 year left
4. Hunt - 1 year left
5. Bennett - 1 year left
6. Fenton - Transfer Listed
7. Till - 1 years left
8. Bolland - 1 year left
9. North - 2 years left
10. Toner - Transfer Listed
11. Boshell - 1 year left
12.
13. Montgomery - Out of Contract
14.
15. Whittle - Released
16. Normington - Youth
17. Hegarty - 3 years left
18. Bore - 1 year left
19. Jones - out of contract
20. Taylor - 2 years left
21. Jarman - 1 year deal
22. Bird - 2 years left
23. Butler - 1 year
24. Overton - youth
25. Atkinson - Left
