The news from Blundell Park today is that the arrival of the French striker Cyril Eboki-Poh for a one week trial with the Mariners has been delayed due to poor weather conditions in France. It is currently touch and go whether his arrival will been in time for his trial game.
The 21 year old French striker was due to have a trial which would have included an appearance in the reserve team's fixture away at York City on Wednesday.
If he does not arrive in time for the game this week, it would appear to be a setback for manager Lennie Lawrence who wants to have a good look at the 21 year old Frenchman before making a decision, as his search for a striker to replace outgoing David Nielsen gathers pace, both domestically and abroad.
The club have reported that if Eboki-Poh, who is currently on the books of French First Division side SC Bastia, fails to arrive in time, then his trial will be put back for a week.
