IPSWICH Town boss Joe Royle, who has been previously linked with Grimsby keeper Danny Coyne, is on the hunt for a new keeper and one target has turned him down, which brings the rumour mill in full circle again.
Birmingham City's Ian Bennett, snubbed an approach by Royal saying he will accept a new two-year deal offered by Steve Bruce.
The favourite to become his new No. 1 at Portman Road is now Charlton Athletic's released Ben Roberts.
Royle, away on holiday in Majorca, says he is in no hurry to get a new keeper in but if Ben Roberts drops out of the chase, Royal would have to look elsewhere. The Question is; would Coyne be a possible target?
For some reason the East Anglian Daily Times has published today the story on Coynes availability that was seen in the Grimsby Telegraph and on the Fishy some weeks ago.
