Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Who's Your Hero?
Who's Your Hero?

March Player of the Month

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 02/04/2008

MARCH started with a 4-0 thrashing of Morecambe and ended at Wembley! In between it was an eventful time, with lots of goals and talking points.

Home > 2007-2008 Season > Player of the Month > March

The six players nominated by our readers for the March Player of the Month award, votes from which will count towards the eventual winner at the end of the season, are as follows:

Phil Barnes - Unbelievably Barnes has made the transition from a dodgy looking 'keeper we couldn't wait to get rid of to one of the finest goalkeepers in the whole division in the space of a few short months. Well done Barnesy!

Paul Bolland - Almost ever-present during the month and put in his usual 100% efforts in the centre of the park.

Martin Butler - Started the month a villain and ended it a hero! How we missed him at Wembley! The month's top scorer with four goals.

Nick Hegarty - Unbelievably Nick is the longest serving player at Blundell Park, but he has been overlooked by a string of managers. Only this season has he made the transition from bit player to one of the first names on the team sheet. What have we been missing?

Tom Newey - One of Town's most consistent players, Newey has settled into his back three role, but equally comfortable at left back or even left midfield.

Paul Till - Has been overlooked for most of the season, but suddenly was selected for a new role behind the front striker and has been one of our best players in recent games.

Pleas vote using Question of the Week.
