The Power of Positive Thought

I am about as far as from Grimsby as I can get over here in Brisbane but I can assure you that it feels no better to be a often-called "long suffering" GTFC fan, even if the sun shines a lot more!

You see I read the Telegraph on-line and this site and have been a member of Mariners World in the past and since the days of Joe Waters and co I have been a long suffering fan - but always had the belief that we will be successful however modestly we measure success.

It is with positive thoughts and the fact that as POM's we know about losing all too well, so we are generally numb to the doom-sayers.

I think this season we should draw a line and say enough is enough!

To have success this season doesn't mean winning the league - more simple than that whoever is appointed manager success will be staying in League 2.

I feel strongly that Mr.Fenty and co are doing their best to encourage success - the hurdles with the new ground and the other issues of petulant players and over the hill managers have not been easy to overcome BUT they will and whoever we get as a manager we should all get behind - "united" if you like and start talking our team and ourselves up - this is what used to happen with the Pontoon chants but in my recent experience it seemed even that was half hearted!

PS I saw GTFC win the last time they did so in the league at Mansfield - and we were lucky then! The next match was at home to Brentford and we were a shambles and seemed that most of the players didn't have any heart for winning or for the team! Then I witnessed the Wembley effort - great to be there but I wish the team I love had turned up with some balls!

Let's use the power of positive thoughts, chants, media and really get behind our Town - otherwise we may wake up one day without one!
