FRENCH attacking midfielder Mickael Buscher has been offered a contract by Grimsby manager Mike Newell after a trial spell at Blundell Park, which included two reserve games.
The 21-year-old has previous experience in British football having formerly played for Scottish side Gretna.
The deal has yet to be rubber stamped by the FA.
Meanwhile fellow Frenchman Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro has been offered a trial at Blundell Park, subject to international clearance.
The former FC Brussels striker, who has played 40 games in France, will try and follow in the footsteps of Mickael Buscher and be offered a professional deal.
Town are only able to sign out of contract players while the transfer window is open but come January Mike Newell will be able to shuffle his pack by exchanging players with other clubs.
