Barnet Manager Sacked

SKY Sports News have reported that Barnet have sacked their manager Ian Hendon following a poor run of results which have seem the Bees slump down the table, and offer Grimsby a lifeline in their quest to avoid relegation from the Football League.

Barnet have picked up just one point in nine games and now meet Town in a crunch match at Blundell Park on Saturday. If they win or draw the Mariners will be relegated; if they lose it will go down the final game of the season, when they must win at home to Rochdale to be certain of staying up.

Barnet lost last night 1-0 to out of form Accrington and the Crown Ground, a match which a large contingent of Town fans went to cheer on the home side. Barnet never came close to scoring, and neither did they in their previous game at home to Rotherham.

A manager replacement has yet to be announced.

Grim Rob Says: Let's hope this is a panic measure by Barnet, we've certainly got them on the ropes anyway. At least we have our fate in our own hands on Saturday, and Town should be good enough to get three points at home against the Londoners even with a new manager to boost morale.
