GRIMSBY ended what has been a tumultuous year with a fairly low-key 0-0 draw at home to Blackpool. It means Town have won just one league game in the last seven at Blundell Park as once again Town failed to create many clear-cut chances.

Macrus Bignot made two changes from the side which beat Accrington on Boxing Day, with Zac Mills returning at right back in place of Ben Davies and Dominic Vose replacing Scott Vernon in attack.

In the girst half Blackpool had the better of the possssion and Town only looked dangerous from set pieces. At the other end Henderson had to make a brilliant low save, diving to to his left, to tip a shot from Vassell around the post.

Jackson came on for the injured Chambers mid-way though the first half, and the only other action of note came from a Blackpool "penalty" claim, but Osayi-Samuel was booked for protesting after a challenge in the box on him by Henderson.

Grimsby were better in the second half but contiued to create very little. Their best chance came right at the end when Collins put a Vose free kick wide.
