Town Draw In Penalty Drama!

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 25/10/2003

SEVERAL chances for Town by Boulding and Onuora went begging in the first half, with Onuora only inches away from scoring just before half time.

In the second half it was all Barnsley and they looked to have won it when a late penalty was awarded for a rash challenge by former Tyke Darren Barnard.

Ex-Mariner Tony Gallimore stepped up to take it and blasted it wide of the goal, to the delight of the travelling Town contingent.

Barnsley: Ilic, O'Callaghan, Crooks, Handyside, Gallimore, Ireland, Burns, Carson, Kay, Betsy, Rankin

Subs: Flinders, Fallon, Hayward, Neil, Austin

Grimsby: Davison, McDermott, Crane, Edwards, Barnard, Cas, Campbell, Hamilton, Anderson, Onuora, Boulding

Subs: Young, Crowe, Mansaram, Jevons, Groves
