Town Sign Two Players!

RUSSELL Slade has today secured the signatures of two new players for the Mariners. Former Millwall defender Ronnie Bull and ex-Hartlepool 'keeper Anthony Williams have both put pen to paper on a contract with Grimsby, although Slade has yet to get the striker he has been in talks with this week.

23-year-old Ronnie Bull is a left-back who was released by Millwall at the end of last season after spending most of the campaign on loan at Yeovil and Brentford.

Anthony Williams 26-year-old Williams (left) has made 131 appearances for Pool, who he joined from Blackburn in 2000. The Welsh shot-stopper spent four months on loan to Stockport last season. The last game Williams played in was for the Hatters against Grimsby in Town's 2-1 defeat at Edgeley Park in April.

Both players have been on trial at Blundell Park for the last few days, as part of Russell Slade's "try before you buy" policy of recruiting players to the club. The pair both featured in last night's 3-2 win over Brigg Town.
