Sam Kelly Leaves

MIDFIELDER Sam Kelly has had his contract cancelled "by mutual consent", which has a year left on it. The 24-year-old was signed by Russell Slade on a two-year contract from Port Vale and made just 13 appearances for the Mariners, mainly on the left wing.
Meanwhile Town have signed another 24-year-old midfielder, Elliott Whitehouse who joins in a two-year deal from Lincoln. The central midfielder has also played for Nuneaton, Halifax and Sheff Utd and had two England 'C' caps.
Whitehouse was out of contract with the Imps, who offered him a new deal, but he decided to become Michael Jolley’s fourth summer signing instead.
